Playing off of each other's polished recordings, this distance collaboration opens to new forms and manners of playing together.

Ron Fein is a composer who integrates traditional elements with others such as science, nature, history, environment, and world issues. His work is experimental, and his noncooperative music removes characteristics such as tempo, meter, verticality, harmony and form, in order to make music that is closer to the innate.

An improvisational violinist and the author of the books Free Play and The Art of Is, Stephen Nachmanovitch performs and teaches internationally at the intersections of performing arts, multimedia, humanities, ecology, and philosophy.

The two of us have made music together in a variety of forms since the invention of the pencil in 1983.
